The Adult Choir This choir of men and women rehearses weekly and leads the music of Sunday liturgies, singing a broad range of music from Renaissance motets to the works of modern composers, with a special emphasis on music from the English cathedral tradition. The choir also offers concerts for the parish and the Greater Raleigh community. Past concerts have included works such as Fauré's Requiem, Vivaldi's Gloria, Schubert's Mass in G, Duruflé's Requiem, Britten's Ceremony of Carols, Menotti's Amahl and the Night Visitors, and Mozart's Requiem. The choir is a dedicated, caring, and diverse musical community within a large, lively parish. Each fall, the choir goes on a weekend retreat for rehearsal and recreation, often to the mountains or the coast. Singers should have basic music reading skills and a voice that blends well with others.
